explaining conventions

 1. artist appears in the video

3. artist usually lips synching with the lyrics

4. the artist will preform throughout either dancing or playing an instrument

6. the costumes match the locations and will change as often as they do

8. the video will usally contain some kind of naritve often intercut with preformance shots

10 the video will contain close ups for lip synch ,mid/ long shots for performance

12. different shot types in each location to allow dynamic and non-repetitve editing

13. the editing will cut to the beat, and will be montage editing

15. the video will be based around a concept rather than a story
